#losefatbuildmuscles #bodyrecomp #Fitnessmylife Can you Lose Fat and Build Muscles at the Same Time? Yes–and it’s known as body recomposition, where you build muscle and lose fat at the same time. However, recomp does come with a catch. We need to be at a calorie deficit in order to lose weight and strip off fat. But the drawback with being at a calorie deficit is that it severely compromises our ability to build muscle. However, this doesn’t mean it’s impossible to build muscle while losing fat, and in today's video, I'll share detailed steps for how to build muscle and lose fat at the same time. The first thing you need to do for body recomposition is set up your diet. Eat at a very slight deficit of roughly 10% to a maximum of 15%. And aim for around a protein intake of around 1g/lb. of your body weight (2.2g per kg). Then, fill the rest of your calories with carbs and fats. Next, we need to optimize our nutrient timing so to build muscle while losing fat. First, you need to ensure that you’re evenly spreading out your daily protein intake into about 3-5 meals throughout the day. Also aim to have adequate carbs and protein shortly before and after you train. But, there are two types of LDL. The real villain when it comes to cholesterol and heart problems is a very specific type of LDL. To measure this type of LDL, you have to ask for a test called an advanced lipid profile test. With this test, they’re looking at the number and size of the particles that carry cholesterol. The two types, or particle sizes, of LDL, are: 1. The large buoyant (pattern A) 2. The small dense (pattern B) The small dense LDL particles are the ones you have to be concerned about because they can penetrate the arteries, even though the large buoyant type carries more cholesterol. Small dense LDL is a strong predictor of cardiovascular disease. This topic can be confusing because some people have low LDL cholesterol but a high number of small dense particles. Others have high LDL with a high number of large buoyant particles. This is why it’s so important to get an advanced lipid profile test, so you have the whole picture of what’s going on.
