This powerful exercise targets nearly every major muscle group in your body, including your glutes, hamstrings, quads, and core. Squats are fantastic for weight loss because they help you burn calories both during and after your workout, thanks to the “afterburn” effect. That means your body continues burning fat for up to 72 hours after your workout! To do squats correctly, stand tall with your feet shoulder-width apart and lower your body as if sitting in a chair. Push through your heels to rise back up. For maximum results, perform three sets of 12 reps. As you get stronger, increase your reps or try jump squats for an added challenge. Next, let’s talk about high knee marches. This simple yet effective move engages your core, glutes, hamstrings, and hip flexors, making it perfect for all fitness levels. It’s a low-impact exercise, so it’s great for beginners or anyone recovering from an injury.
