The whole philosophy I teach is to get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy. Focus on improving your health so you’ll be more successful: higher energy, better cognitive function and sleep, improved resistance to sleep will all contribute to your success. It’s not only about weight loss; there are many other health benefits you can get from being on the keto diet. Too much protein can raise your insulin so be sure to eat a moderate amount of it. I recommend three to six ounces, although if you’re a big person who is very active you could go to as much as eight ounces that’s all. Sounds odd that too much protein might prevent your weight loss, but it can. The keto diet can definitely work for you for weight loss; you may simply have to do some adjustments.
