Today, I’m back on the 5mg dose of Mounjaro, skipping the starter dose since my body’s already familiar with it. I’m hoping the side effects won’t be too harsh this time—though I do expect some nausea like before. I’m taking the shot again not just for weight but to control my cravings and get my A1C back in check. I’ve got a doctor’s appointment coming up, and let’s just say… I’ll have some explaining to do. There’s also a lot to consider when it comes to surgery and this medication. You’re supposed to be off Mounjaro a month before and four weeks after surgery.
