In this video, I shared the benefits of berberine for weight loss. Using berberine for a short period of time and focusing on lifestyle changes is more sustainable. Berberine has been shown to increase the breakdown of fat in cells, making it easier for the body to use stored fat as energy. A 12-week study in obese individuals found that those taking berberine lost an average of 5 pounds and saw a reduction in their body mass index (BMI) and belly fat.Another study in people with metabolic syndrome showed that berberine supplementation led to significant weight loss and improved markers of metabolic health. Berberine is also known to be effective against differentiation of adipocytes through a decrease in LXRs, PPARs, and SREBPs expression at 150 mg/kg/day.
